Berlie Joseph DeLap, age 72, of Big Sandy, Montana died Tuesday morning, December 17th, 1988 at the Northern Montana Hospital at Havre, Montana. He was born on March 17, 1916 in the town of Jefferson, Vernon County, Wisconsin to Russell and Elizabeth (Sheldon) DeLap. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Viroqua. He was employed for several years at Allis Chalmers and also at Trane Company in La Crosse. He moved to Montana in 1960. Berlie is survived by two sons, Jerry and Ronald, both of La Crosse; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; four sisters, Mrs. Sever (Hazel) Erickson, of Westby, Mrs. Earl (Mae) Gilman, of La Farge, Hope Sandwick, of Redmound, Ona Veglahn, of Viroqua; four brothers, Fred DeLap, of Victory, Vernon and Nathan of Viroqua, Donald DeLap of Ridgeland; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ray DeLap. Blessed be his memory. Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 29, 1988 at the Thorson Funeral Home in Viroqua with Rev. Steven Fossum officiating. Burial was in the Victory Cemetery. Berlie Joseph DeLap was enumerated on the census of 1930 in Genoa City, Vernon County, Wisconsin, USAG. June C. Engh June C. Engh, 79, of La Crosse passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, in Bethany Riverside Care Center, La Crosse. She was born in Genoa, Wis., on July 24, 1924, to Wesley and Florence (Olson) Prindle. She married James M .Engh on April 27, 1946, in La Crosse. They lived on La Crosse's North Side for over 50 years. She is survived by four children: Jim (Diane) Engh of La Crosse, Carol (Jim) Russell of Mindoro, John (Kathy) Engh of La Crosse and Linda (Larry) Denson of Oakdale, Minn.; and four grandchildren: Ryan and Lindsay Engh, and Ben and Katie Denson. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971 and her parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday Feb. 18, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Blaschke Funeral Home, 401 West Ave S. The Rev. Paul Czerwonka will officiate, with burial to be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
