While living in Greenup Co., KY, Charles Rigg applied for and received a pension for his service in the Maryland Line during the Revolutionary War. The pension was transferred to Illinois in the fall of 1836 when he moved with sons George and James to join sons Samuel and Robert in Wabash Co.

The records have been microfilmed copies of which are available from the National Archives and from LDS Family History Centers.
