Donald Ray Rigg, 74, Mt. Carmel, died March 4, 2008 at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, Ill. He was born May 28, 1933 in Bellmont, to Donald and Mildred (Tarr) Rigg. Mr. Rigg was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Snap-on Tools in Mt. Carmel for several years before his retirement. Surviving are a son, Bradley S. Rigg of Mt. Carmel; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Scott Rigg and JoLee Rigg, both of Mt. Carmel; and one sister, Dorothy Doty of Evansville. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Samuel Rigg. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Adams Corner Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Short Funeral Home of Mt. Carmel is in charge of the arrangements.
