Pauline Teachout, 86, died March 19, 2004 at Hearthstone Assisted Living Facility in Lewisville, Texas. Pauline was born April 5, 1917 in Saline, the daughter of Lorenzo and Myrtle Ethel (Walburn) Riggs. She was a member of the Peoples Presbyterian Church in Milan for many years, and was a volunteer at Saline Hospital. On Jan. 1, 1936, she married Herbert Levi Teachout and he preceded her in death July 12, 1962. Herbert owned Teachout Motor Sales in Ypsilanti from 1940 until his death, and Pauline honed her bookkeeping skills working with her husband. Pauline later worked as a bookkeeper for Schultz Motors in Milan for 26 years, and was active in the Saline Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 311, serving as a past matron. Pauline will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed working with people. She is survived by: a daughter, Patricia Ann (Lee Franklin) Niethammer of Lewisville; two grandchildren, Carol Lynn (Jeffrey) Waldroup of Flower Mound, Texas and Sharon Lee (Steffen) Springborn of Minneapolis; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Lee, Ethan Charles, and Olivia Hollis Waldroup, all of Flower Mound; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Karen Lee Teachout, in 1976; and two brothers, Raymond and Waldon Riggs. The funeral service was held March 24 at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with Rev. Vern Campbell, pastor emeritus of Peoples Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery, Saline. The Saline Chapter 311 of the Order of the Eastern Star presided over a special memorial service on March 23 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 107 April Dr., Suite 1, Ann Arbor, 48103 or the Alzheimer?s Association of Greater Dallas, 7610 N. Stemmons Fwy., Suite 600, Dallas, TX, 75247-9952. Arrangements were handled by the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville and the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. Sarah Pauline Riggs resided in York Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, on 1 Jan 1920.7 She resided in York Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, on 1 Apr 1930.4 She resided in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, in 1935.6 She resided in Milan, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, on 1 Jan 1936.11 She resided in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, in 1937.10 She resided in York Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, on 1 Apr 1940 Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Sister-in-law.6 She resided in Milan, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USAG, in 1993.3
