"Jennie Riggs" was challenging to track down. The main clue came from the 1930 census, which listed Alma Worley as a step-niece to Fred Riggs. Alma's parents were "Anna Dixon" and "James Melvin Worley" so "Jennie" should have been a sister to one of those. James Melvin Worley was easy to find in the census and did not have a sister that would match "Jennie." The Dixons/Dicksons proved a bit of a challenge to track as "Jennie" and "Anna" lived in Lawrence County, Ohio, even though they were born in Boyd County, Kentucky and those were nicknames. Their birth names were "Eliza J" and "Polly A". It turned out that "Jennie" married James Meredith Elam, who happened to be the spouse of Eliza Mae Dixon, elsewhere in the tree. The 1920 census shows the Worley children living with the Elams, showing continuity with Alma Worley living with the Riggs in 1930. Lastly, the grave marker for Eliza Jane Elam Riggs gives her birth date as 11 Oct 1868. Her birth record shows 2 Oct 1869, which is consistent with the 1870 census. The 1900 census shows her birth as Oct 1870.
