Clyda Jean Bosecker, 87, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at Oakview Heights Nursing Home in Mt. Carmel. Mrs. Bosecker was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Wabash County, the daughter of John and Bessie (Fearheiley) Deputy. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Carmel, the Mt. Carmel Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Reviewers Matinee, PEO Sisterhood and Delta Theta Tau. She had held various offices in each organization. She married Walter Frederick Bosecker on Oct. 15, 1938, in Mt. Carmel and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1998. Survivors include one son, Chris F. Bosecker of Midland, Texas; and two grandchildren, Ted Christian Bosecker and David Walter Bosecker of Boyd, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Christilla Sommer. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening, July 8, from 6-8 p.m. Clyda Jean Deputy was enumerated on the census of 1920 in Township 13, Wabash County, Illinois, USAG.
