FARRENBURG, John C. - John C. Farrenburg died Saturday noon at one o'clock at his home on West Walnut Street. Mr. Farrenburg had been confined to his bed for several months and his death had been expected hourly for several days. His death was the result of a malignant tumor. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the residence and were conducted by Elder T.J. Keller. This arrangement was one of the last requests of the deceased. The attendance at the funeral was large. Mr. Farrenburg was born in Lancaster county, Ohio and was 62 years, 1 month and 25 days old. He had been a resident of Rogers for twenty years, coming here in August of 1882. On November 8, 1884, just eighteen years before the day of his death, he was married to Miss Emma Riggs of Rogers. To them were born four children - Pearl, Dot, Walter and Polly - all of whom are still living. For six years - 1889 to 1895 - Mr. Farrenburg was a partner of T.J. Keller in the harness business. He was one of the heaviest owners of business property on Walnut Street, owning a half-interest in the Union Block, the bricks occupied by Tom Brandon and Mrs. Carse, and the brick occupied by Dyer & Rebholtz. He also owned the brick occupied by Sager Bros. The death of Mr. Farrenburg removes one of the pioneers of Rogers and a man who has always been ready to back his beliefs in the future of the town by his liberal investments. He was a strong advocate of temperance and cast his influence at every election on that side. His death is not only a loss to his family and friends, but to the entire community. FERRENBERG, Faith - Miss Faith Ferrenberg, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ferrenberg, died at an early hour Tuesday morning at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Ferrenberg, 704 West Walnut St., the result of typhoid fever and symptoms of appendicitis. She was taken ill several weeks ago and during her illness she suffered the appendicitis attack and the family anxiously awaited a convalescence, hoping an operation then would restore her to health, but the fever so weakened her that her condition did not respond to the many deeds from loving hands and it has deeply grieved the large circle in which she moved to realize that they have lost an endeared schoolmate and friend, for she was most popular. Miss Faith was born in Glasgow, Ky. June 26, 1910, coming to Rogers with her parents when small, graduating from Rogers High School in the class of 1926 and was home on a vacation from Fayetteville Business College when she was taken ill. She leaves her heart-broken parents, one brother, her grandmother, Mrs. J.C. Ferrenberg; three aunts, Mrs. Murray Morgan, Mrs. Dot Helms of Rogers and Mrs. James Horn of Tacony, Colo. and a number of other relatives who will sadly miss her. Especially will her father miss her as she was his pianist when he appeared on local programs for vocal solos. Funeral services were held yesterday morning at 10:30 at the First Christian church, Rev. W.L. Edwards, her pastor, conducting them. Burial was in city cemetery.
