John Marion Woolary1,2,3,4,5
M, #12932, b. 13 Apr 1916, d. 22 Mar 1974
Biography
John Marion Woolary was born on 13 Apr 1916 in Kenova, Wayne County, West Virginia, USAG.1,2,3,4 He and Clara Elizabeth Hughes were married on 14 Jan 1973 in Orange County, Florida, USAG.5,5 He died on 22 Mar 1974, at age 57, in Orlando, Orange County, Florida, USAG, Age: 57.2,3 He was buried in Mar 1974 in Gotha, Orange County, Florida, USAG.3 John Woolary the second husband of Clara Elizabeth Hughes lived and attended school in Ceredo, W.Va. along with Clara. The two were very close friends and dated each other regularly. John graduated a year earlier than Clara and went off to attend classes at Marshall University in Huntington, W. Virginia. the two just drifted apart over the next year. Clara had relocated to Orlando in 1967, where she worked at several low paying jobs and decided that she would accomplish one of the goals she had earlier in her life of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. The course of study was a difficult one for a 55 year old, having been out of school for many years. The course was made even more difficult by her personal work ethic, which had always forced her to apply herself 100% to any endeavor. John later married and settled in Orlando, Florida where he worked for Eugene W. Kelsey in the construction industry. John divorced his first wife, when he found her to be unfaithful. She had supposedly gone to Georgia to visit a friend. John received a call from a member of his Church which indicated that she was really off to see a lover. She arrived home to find her bags and belongings sitting on the front porch. John lived alone in Orlando for several years with his mother. John said that he was relaxing in his living room one evening, thinking about his former lover, Clara Hughes and made the statement that if he could find her he would marry her. John later made a visit to Ceredo, W.Va. and while there called Jean Hughes, Clara's mother and ask about her where-abouts. Lo & Behold he was informed that she had been divorced years before and had relocated to Orlando, Florida where she was currently living. You can imagine the excitement when John found that Clara was living approximately five miles away from his home in Orlando. The coincidences continue when we find that the former Mrs. Woolary, John's first wife, had bought a Mobile Home and lived only one block away from Clara in Orlando. Clara received a letter from her mother in Ceredo, W.Va. and it informed her that an old friend had inquired about her and would be in touch with her shortly if she had not been contacted already, which was the case.John called immediately upon return to Orlando and the two were married a short time after. The couple had always dreamed of visiting Europe and in 1972 they completed that dream. Shortly after returning to Orlando John discovered that he had cancer and had only a few months to live. I always felt that it was almost as if the two lives rejoined at a time when they once again needed each other. The nursing training my mother received was exactly the training she needed to help her in the difficult period of John's approaching death. Bill Mays. John Marion Woolary resided in Ceredo District, Wayne County, West Virginia, USAG, on 1 Jan 1920 Age: 3; Age: 3 7/12; Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Son.4 He resided in Kenova, Wayne County, West Virginia, USAG, on 1 Apr 1930 Age: 13; Age: 4; Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Son.1
